The Future of Computing Performance – Game Over or Next Level? is a report written by the Committee on Sustaining Growth In Computer Performance and the Computer Science and Telecommunication Board, under the Division on Engineering and Physical Science of the National Research Council, reviewing the state-of-the-art of the computing performance, from the early 40’s up to now, and the limitations, related to hardware as well as to programming methods, that are menacing its growth.
